fornisce un ambiente di root fittizio

Questo pacchetto è pensato per permettere cose come:

  dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot

cioè per eliminare la necessità di diventare root per la generazione di un pacchetto. Ciò si ottiene impostando LD_PRELOAD a libfakeroot.so, che fornisce un incapsulamento per getuid, chown, chmod, mknod, stat e così via, creando quindi un ambiente di root fittizio.

fakeroot ha bisogno di TCP o SYSV IPC per funzionare.
