Akregator è un lettore di fonti di notizie. Permette di seguire i siti di notizie, blog e altri siti web che offrono servizi RSS/Atom senza bisogno di controllare manualmente con un browser web se sono stati aggiornati. Akregator è progettato per essere facile da usare e potente abbastanza da leggere centinaia di fonti di notizie senza difficoltà. Viene fornito con integrazione per Konqueror per aggiungere fonti di notizie e con un browser interno per una facile lettura delle notizie.

Questo pacchetto fa parte del modulo PIM di KDE.
