Zsh è un interprete di comandi UNIX (shell) utilizzabile come shell di login interattiva e come processore di script contenente comandi shell. Fra le shell standard, zsh è quella che più assomiglia a ksh ma include molti miglioramenti. Zsh ha capacità di modifica della riga di comando, correttore ortografico incorporato, completamento dei comandi programmabile, funzioni di shell (con autocaricamento), un meccanismo per richiamare i comandi precedenti e molte altre caratteristiche.
Questo pacchetto è meno stabile del normale pacchetto "zsh".
