Playmidi è un lettore di file MIDI che usa per la riproduzione FM, GUS, SoundBlaster o un MIDI esterno. Supporta anche file CMF (Creative Music Files), RMI (Microsoft RIFF e grandi archivi MIDI da giochi, come Ultima 7.

Il lettore può essere usato da un'interfaccia testuale o da una grafica.
