Nginx ("engine x") è un server web e proxy inverso dalle alte prestazioni creato da Igor Sysoev. Può essere usato come server web autonomo e come server proxy inverso per ridurre il carico sui server HTTP o di posta di backend.

Questo pacchetto fornisce una versione di nginx con i moduli standard più funzionalità e moduli aggiuntivi, come il modulo Perl che permette l'aggiunta di Perl nei file di configurazione.
