ambiente runtime Java che utilizza GIJ/classpath
GIJ è un interprete bytecode per Java, non limitato all'interpretazione dei bytecode. Include un caricatore di classi che può caricare dinamicamente oggetti condivisi, per questo scopo è possibile indicargli il nome di una classe compilata e inserita in una libreria condivisa nel percorso delle classi.
Il pacchetto contiene anche una raccolta di script wrapper e collegamenti simbolici; è pensato per fornire un'interfaccia simile a Java-RTE per l'insieme di strumenti GIJ/GCJ.
