SiSU is a command line driven document creation and management framework. With minimal markup of a plain-text file, it produces: plain-text, HTML, XHTML, XML, ODF (OpenDocument), LaTeX, PDF, and populates an SQL database (PostgreSQL or SQLite) at an object/paragraph level for "atomic searches".
Prepare documents using text editor of choice, then use SiSU to generate the desired output formats. Outputs share a generated common object citation numbering system, and any semantic meta-data provided about the document. A vim syntax highlighting and folds file is provided.
man pages, and interactive help are provided.
Dependencies for additional features are taken care of in sisu related packages.
The dummy package sisu-complete together with sisu-markup-samples installs the whole of SiSU.
