Rplay Netzwerk-Audiosystem - beigetragene Binärprogramme

Enthält die Programme mailsounds und Mailsounds, die beide benutzt werden können, um Musik abzuspielen, wenn auf einem System neue Mail ankommt.

RPlay ermöglicht das Abspielen von Sounds auf lokalen und auf anderen Unix-Systemen. Sound kann über das Netzwerk versendet werden (oder auch nicht), entweder über UDP oder über TCP/IP. RPlay-Audio-Server können mit entsprechender Konfiguration die Sound-Dateien untereinander austauschen.

Unterstützung für RPlay ist in einigen Anwendungen schon enthalten. Dazu gehören xpilot, xlockmore, xboing, fvwm und ctwm.
