uim je modulární knihovna vstupních metod podporujících různé jazyky, které se staly frontendem pro Anthy, SKK, Canna, PRIME, T-Code, TUT-Code, Pinyin (čínské vstupní metody), Hangul (korejské vstupní metody), IPA (mezinárodní fonetická abeceda) atd.... Většina z těchto funkcí je implementována pomocí Scheme, takže jsou velmi jednoduché a pružné.
