Výkonný webserver HTTP 1.1 napsaný za pomoci Erlang

Yaws je výkonný webserver HTTP 1.1 napsaný v Erlang. Jedná se o webový server s podporou vláken, kdy je každému klientovi k dispozici právě jeden nenáročný proces. Podporovány jsou dva oddělené módy fungování.

Samostatný mód (standalone), ve kterém je spuštěn řadový daemon webserveru. Toto je výchozí stav.

Vestavěný mód, kdy Yaws běží jako vestavěný webserver jiné aplikace Erlang.

Hlavní výhodou yaws oproti ostatním webovým serverům je jeho výkonost a elegance. Výkon je dán použitým systémem Erlang a jeho schopností současně a přitom efektivně obsluhovat procesy.
