Poštovní agent Courier (MTA) je integrovaný poštovní server založený na otevřených protokolech jako je ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, LDAP, SSL a HTTP. Courier obsahuje služby ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, webmail a diskuzních skupin, vše uvnitř jednotného, konzistentního rámce.

Courier používá SSL/TLS nazývanou couriertls. Kromě toho obsahuje výchozí množinu kořenových certifikátů CA X.509.
