Konverze souboru GPS a jeho přesun z/do zařízení GPS

GPSBabel převádí klíčová místa, trasy a cesty z jednoho formátu do druhého, ať už je tím formátem běžný formát, jako je Delorme, Streets a Tirips, nebo přímo data posílaná do/načítaná z GPS jednotky, jako je Garmin a Magellan.

GPSBabel podporuje tucet datových formátů a je užitečný zejména pro úkoly jako je mapování a konverze z jedné jednotky GPS na druhou. Mezi různými formáty, které podporuje jsou také různá zařízení GPS připojená pře sériový kabel, různé programy pro PDA a také spousta datových formátů zábavy Geocaching.
