gs-aladdin (6.50-3.5defoma2) unstable; urgency=low
* debian/postinst.in: gone.
* debian/postinst: remove bashisum codes. registration of
need-to-be-substituted major cjk postscript fonts is move to
gs-cjk-resource 0.93-2.
* debian/postinst: call 'defoma-app update' on every 'configure'.
* debian/prerm: call 'defoma-app clean' on every 'upgrade'.
* The last two changes force to update font configuration on every
upgrade of the gs-aladdin package so take some time. It is not
actually necessary if the Defoma configuration script is not changed,
because if the script is not changed, font configuration is unchanged.
I thought comparing the installing version and the installed version
at postinst could stop updating font configuration on every upgrade,
but i happened to notice that it can not handle upgrading from
'config-files' status. Upgrading from the status always requires
updating font configuration because font configuration is already
cleaned up on the status. But postinst cannot judge whether upgrading
is from 'installed' status or 'config-files' status, so if the version
of 'config-files' status is newer than the
required-to-update-font-configuration version, updating font configuration
is not performed though necessary.
I guess some mechanisums to store the status of font configuration
of each package and the version of each Defoma-configuration script
to enable updating-font-configuration-only-when-necessary.
