Debian Changelog asclock (2.0.12-14)

2009

asclock (2.0.12-14) unstable; urgency=low

   * I18n did not work in all cases before. This is fixed in this release. Now
     the proper language should be chosen always, the fallback of English is
     only retained in case asclock-themes is not present (which should not
     happen on ordinary Debian installs).
   * Include the complete German man page translation (in the last upload an
     old incomplete version was used), now proofread by debian-l10n-german.

 -- Helge Kreutzmann <debian@helgefjell.de>  Sun, 11 Oct 2009 22:02:59 +0200

     Closes: #547199.
   * Fix formatting in man page which cause some text parts to not be
     displayed.
   * Update to standards version 3.8.3, no change required.
   * Provide a German man page using the po4a infrastructure (and add the
     required build depencency and rules)

asclock (2.0.12-12) unstable; urgency=low

   * Apply patch by Christoph Fritz to improve handling of the position
     argument. This Closes: #540429.
   * Update to standards version 3.8.2, no change required.

 -- Helge Kreutzmann <debian@helgefjell.de>  Sat, 08 Aug 2009 18:37:33 +0200

asclock (2.0.12-11) unstable; urgency=low

   * A recent change to dpkg broke the preinst. Thanks to Sven Joachim who
     pointed out that both the preinst and the prerm are no longer necessary
     and thus are safely removed. This Closes: #530653
   * Update to standards version 3.8.1.0, no change required.

2008

asclock (2.0.12-10) unstable; urgency=low

   * Proper build dependency on xutils-dev for imake (Closes: #485195)
   * Set DM-Upload-Allowed: yes
   * Remove (versioned) dependency on base-files also for asclock-themes, even
     the version in oldstable is sufficient
   * Add Readme.source, with this update to standards version 3.8.0
   * Build depend on x11proto-core-dev, not the obsoleted x-dev

 -- Helge Kreutzmann <debian@helgefjell.de>  Mon, 16 Jun 2008 22:09:14 +0200

asclock (2.0.12-9) unstable; urgency=low

   * New maintainer (Closes: #471981)
   * Expand copyright a little to explain license situation better
     (belongs to the recently closed #469060)
   * Update versioned build dependency on debhelper
   * Switch from patching all files directly to using quilt
   * Don't forget to remove configure-stamp in clean target to allow building
     twice in a row
   * [Lintian] Do not ignore errors from make clean

asclock (2.0.12-8.3) unstable; urgency=low

   * NMU to make asclock i18n aware (Closes: #457738); now asclock supports

     german portuguese dutch norwegian italian swedish spanish hungarian
     breton french czech russian ukrainian slovene indonesian danish
     hebrew japanese

   * Detect locale at run time and choose appropriate xpm if available
   * Install pximaps for all languages with proper extension
   * Fix typo in debian/rules
   * Remove empty line at the beginning of languages/hungarian/month.xpm which
     prevents it from being displayed
   * Switch to debhelper V6 in debian/compat from DH_COMPAT=3 in debian/rules;
     remove obsoleted dh_testversion, it is not needed anymore
   * Redo debian/copyright to add all known contributors and authors (instead
     of only one) and to refer to GPL 2 explicitly. (Closes: #469060). Please
     note that the actual license is taken from the README file, ignoring the
     man page (which contradicts) as the former appears to be more recent.
   * Update menu section to follow menu poliy, seems that Games/Toys is now the
     proper section ...
   * Remove conflicts (all versions are sufficient in oldstable already) and
     remove dependency on base-files (as again version in oldstable
     is already sufficient)
   * Removed env call for fixing #457360, it is not needed

asclock (2.0.12-8.2) unstable; urgency=high

   * Non-maintainer upload.
   * Don't rely on dpkg's messages to be printed in English but rather force
     C locale where necessary (Closes: #457360)

 -- Helge Kreutzmann <debian@helgefjell.de>  Mon, 14 Jan 2008 22:13:39 +0100

asclock (2.0.12-5) unstable; urgency=low

   * debian/control: conflict with gnome-panel-data << 1.2.0 as per Adam C

 -- Marcelo E. Magallon <mmagallo@debian.org>  Fri, 8 Mar 2002 10:37:18 +0100

2001

asclock (2.0.12-4) unstable; urgency=low

   * debian/rules: prune some cruft shipped on the upstream tarball
   * README.THEMES: fix to document actual syntax. Adam, I'm really sorry
     it took this long to fix, it was sitting on my box all this time and
     I forgot to make an upload. (closes: bug#94643)
   * themes/Freeamp-de: new from Michael Piefel. (closes: bug#108699)
   * debian/rules: ash's echo doesn't like -e

 -- Marcelo E. Magallon <mmagallo@debian.org>  Sun, 9 Dec 2001 13:11:50 +0100

asclock (2.0.12-3) unstable; urgency=low

   * debian/control: add xutils to Build-Depends (you have to wonder which
     strong technical reason takes xmkmf out of the -dev package and puts it
     into one that describes itself as "utilities") (closes: bug#87823)

 -- Marcelo E. Magallon <mmagallo@debian.org>  Tue, 27 Feb 2001 10:42:55 +0100

asclock (2.0.12-2) unstable; urgency=low

   * Hmmm... changed build-dependencies to xlibs-dev (I'm still waiting
     for the technical reason that says this change was a Good Thing,
     instead of the childish "I don't like the name" argument) (closes:
     bug#86960)
   * While I'm at this... upgraded Standards-Version to 3.5
   * Moved to debhelper 3
   * Moved binary to /usr/bin (what? You used a hardcoded path? Sorry, not my
     problem)
   * debian/asclock.menu: see above
   * debian/rules: the DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS thing
   * ROTFL! asclock.man: s/0.99/1/ (this is not the program's version, it the
     manpage section!
   * debian/rules: removed silly 'cp asclock.man asclock.1x' (joeyh rules!)

 -- Marcelo E. Magallon <mmagallo@debian.org>  Thu, 22 Feb 2001 22:14:39 +0100

2000

asclock (2.0.12-1) unstable; urgency=low

   * New upstream version (which actually uses Geometry information)
   * Splitted into asclock and asclock-themes (partially handles #67244)

 -- Marcelo E. Magallon <mmagallo@debian.org>  Mon, 17 Jul 2000 23:59:00 +0100

asclock (2.0.11-4) frozen unstable; urgency=low

   * asclock.c: #if'ed code that prevents asclock from receiving
     ButtonPress events when docked. Tested in `normal' mode and nothing
     broke. The #if'ed code does not make sense, it seems something else
     was going to be added but wasn't. Along with the modifications in -3,
     this closes #41955 (sorry for taking soooo long Joey) (Closes:
     bug#41955)
   * debian/asclock.menu: added hints="Clocks" (Joost rules!) (Closes:
     bug#52008)
   * debian/rules: export DH_COMPAT=2
   * debian/control: Standards-Version: 3.1.1
   * FHS.
   * debian/asclock.prerm: new file; removes /usr/doc link
   * debian/control: added Replaces: gnome-panel-data. I am NOT happy with
     this. A proper solution would be to split asclock into asclock and
     asclock-themes so all the asclock packages (yes, there are THREE
     packages providing some form of asclock -- four if the afterstep
     package still contains it) can depend on it (yes, it's absolutely
     ridiculous). I'm not doing that for the freeze. If someone wants to
     go ahead and do that for _potato_, you've got my blessing to NMU such
     a version.  (Closes: bug#40801, bug#40772)

   * themes/classic/led.xpm, themes/shaped/led.xpm: Changed color of led in
     classic and shaped modes
   * config.c: added '-i' for backwards compatibility, added '-s' (loads
     'shaped' theme) for backwards compatibility)
   * themes/shaped/config: led_ampm_x = 42;
